CHERAW REC BASKETBALL GAMES

The Cheraw Rec Department basketball home games are played at the Cheraw Community Center and away games played in Chesterfield, Clio & Blenheim. Parents and players are to check with their team coach for game times/locations.

 

BINGO NIGHT

Join the fun for night BINGO on Tuesday, January 24 at the Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services Department Teen Center. BINGO games from 5:45pm – 7:00pm with BINGO caller Holly Patrick from Agape Care Hospice. The entry fee is only $1.00 with prizes for every round!

 

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL REGISTRATION

Registration for Spring Sports begins February 1 through March 1.  Register at the Cheraw Community Center Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.  Anyone who has not participated in a sport before must bring their birth certificate to register. 

 

“FRIDAY’S COOL VIBES AFTER 5” WINTER CONCERT SERIES

Join the Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services for our winter concert series “Friday’s Cool Vibes after 5.” The concerts have a cool, easy vibe on Friday nights at the Cheraw Community center.  

Dates/bands:     

  • Friday, February 17:        Level 10 Band
  • Friday, March 17:             Mellogroove

 

For ages 21+ and only $7.00/per person. Eat at any Cheraw restaurant the day of the concert and present your receipt for $2 off concert admission. Bring your own cooler (BYOC) and chair. Doors open at 6:30pm and the concert begin at 7pm. This will be a Friday night event that you do not want to miss!

 

DADDY/DAUGHTER DANCE

The Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services Department would like to invite all young ladies, ages 4 years old to teenagers and their dads, grandfathers (or a positive male influence) to the annual semi-formal dinner and dance. This popular event will be held on Saturday, March 11TH from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm at the Cheraw Community Center. The cost per person is $15.00 which includes dinner, dancing, and door prizes. A professional photographer will be available at the event (not included in ticket price).

 

Tickets are available for purchase ONLY at the Cheraw Community Center February 6 through March 3. This event is always a sell out, so get your tickets now! No tickets will be sold at the door on the night of the dance. For additional information, call 843-537-8420.

 

 

SPRING FESTIVAL

The Town of Cheraw and the Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services Department’s annual Spring Festival will be held on Saturday, April 1st from 10:00am - 6:00pm at the Centennial Park and downtown Market Street location. The one-day festival consists of arts, crafts, and food vendors and planned activities such as an antique fire truck parade, car show, kids’ attractions, petty zoo, live entertainment and more throughout the day.

Vendors interested in participating must submit applications and fees by March 1 (applications available online and at the Cheraw Community center). Contact the Cheraw Community Center at 843-537-8420 for additional information.

 

MORP

The Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services Department invites 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to the annual MORP (prom spelled backwards). It will be held on Saturday, May 6th from 7:00pm - 9:30pm at the Cheraw Community Center. The cost is $15.00 per person which includes dancing, refreshments, and door prizes. A professional photographer will be at the event (additional fee payable at the dance).

 

Tickets are available for purchase ONLY at the Cheraw Community Center April 3 - 28 (no tickets will be sold at the door).

 

3rd THURSDAYS CONCERTS

Join the Town of Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services for our 3rd Thursday’s 2023 summer concert series at the Cheraw Community center from 7:00pm – 9:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm)
