Cheraw is pleased to offer a number of opportunities for people of all ages throughout the year.  Below is a list of some of our offerings.  For full information you may contact the recreation department at 843-537-8425.

Senior Citizen's Bingo:
  Every Wednesday at 10:30AM in the Cheraw Community Center, $2 per person.  Offers a great opportunity for weekly fellowship and fun prizes!

Daddy Daughter Date Night:  This annual dance occurs the first Friday in February for girls ages 4 and up.  Young ladies are invited to bring their dads, granddads, step-dads, etc.  This is one of our most popular nights of the year, featuring a DJ and dinner.

Easter Egg Hunt:  The annual Egg Hunt occurs around Easter of each year.  Check with the Recreation Department for an exact date.  

Special Field Day:  Occurs annually in mid-April and is co-sponsered by the Chesterfield County School District and the Cheraw Recreation Department.

MORP (Prom but backwards!):  This formal dance is a night of great fun for 6th to 8th graders.  Occurs the first friday of May.

Cheraw's Independence Celebration:   Celebrate our Independence in style!  This special event will take place on July 1, 2021.  The annual Children's Christmas Parade will take place at 10:30AM.  Prizes available for the best decorated tricycle, bicycle, and golf cart!  Show your spirit!  The festivities continue from 6PM to 10PM with live music and fireworks!

Third Thursday Concert Series:  Every third Thursday in May, June, July, and August come to the Cheraw Community Center and dance the evening away from 7PM to 9:30PM.

Cheraw Halloween Walk:  October 29, 2020 from 3:30PM to 5PM in downtown Cheraw.  Kids are welcome to dress up and trick or treat at participating downtown merchants.  There will be plenty of candy to go around!

Holiday Parade:  The annual parade takes place the second Saturday in December! Come downtown to get in the festive spirit of the season as floats go by!

Visits from Santa:  Santa Claus makes a special appearance each year in downtown!  Keep an eye on our Facebook Page and emails for announcements!

Senior Citizen Christmas Party:  This annual free event for seniors age 60+ occurs on the second Thursday in December from 10:30AM to 12PM.

Children's Christmas Card Contest:  This annual contest begins in November and winning cards are displayed in the Mary Burr Art Gallery.  Ages from Kindegarten to 12th grade participate.
