Recreation basketball is back!

BASKETBALL REGISTRATION

The Cheraw Recreation & Leisure Services Department will begin registration for Youth Basketball (boys and girls) on Monday, November 1^st and run through Friday, December 3^rd.  You may register at the Cheraw Community Center from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Anyone that has not participated in a sport before must bring their birth certificate with them to register.  Fees:  $30.00 for city residents and $55.00 for out-of-city residents.  $5.00  -  insurance (for anyone that has not participated in a Recreation Department activity since September 1, 2021).

Instructional League:              Ages 5 & 6 years old, but not 7 before September 1, 2021.

Primary League:                     Ages 7 & 8 years old, but not 9 before September 1, 2021.

Small Fry League:                  Ages 9 & 10 years old, but not 11 before Sept. 1, 2021.

Mite League:                          Ages 11 & 12 years old, but not 13 before Sept. 1, 2021.

Midget League:                      Ages 13 & 14 years old, but not 15 before Sept. 1, 2021.

BOYS YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB

Boys in the 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th grade who would like to learn how to wrestle when they go to Middle School or High School can sign up at the Cheraw Recreation Department, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.  -  5:00 p.m.  Cost for registration is $5.00 which will cover recreational insurance.  Coach Jeremy Mabry will be the instructor.

Practice will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Long Middle School Cafeteria (enter in the back of the school).

Club schedule may change according to Long Middle School’s wrestling schedule, school schedule, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
