Mayor Ingram issues proclamation honoring National Beta Week


Mayor Ingram was on hand today to present a proclamation to the Cheraw High Beta Club honoring the first week of March as National Beta Week.  This year the proclamation celebrated the excellent performance of the Cheraw High School Beta Club at the Virtual State Competition.  The Cheraw High Beta Club were the winners in the following competitions: Jenna Crouse-Black and White Photography Division II-3rd Place; Portfolio Team-2nd Place

The Cheraw High School Senior Beta Club is a service-based Honor Society with over 130 current members.  They are active throughout the community and local schools.  With more than 500,000 active members and 8,750 clubs nationally and internationally, National Beta has become the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization. National Beta promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.
