Chalk Walk Cheraw

Each year the Cheraw Arts Commission hosts a Chalk Art Competition as part of the South Carolina Jazz Festival. An amazing array of talented artists come out and participate, but we inevitably had lots of leftover chalk.

The Cheraw Arts Commission distributed this chalk at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic in April 2020 to people around the Town, so that they could decorate areas around their homes and sidewalks. Not only providing a family friendly activity during the time of social distancing, but also creating original pieces of art for neighbors walking by.
