Sign up for the Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services 2022 Summer Camp!

Wondering what to do with your school-aged kiddos this summer? Well, the Cheraw Recreation & Leisure Services Summer Playground camp is back and full of activities! The Summer Playground is for kids ages 5 through 12 (must have turned 5 by June 1, 2022, and cannot turn 13 before June 1, 2022).  This will be an all-day camp (Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm) and will be held at Cheraw Intermediate School beginning Monday, June 13, 2022, and ending on Friday, July 29, 2022. Please note the camp will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022, in observance of the holiday.

Registration for the camp runs May 9 through May 27 at the Cheraw Recreation Department with limited slots available. The cost for campers per week is $35.00 for city residents and $45.00 for out of city residents with a $5.00 registration/insurance fee. Our summer camp’s purpose is to offer quality camper-focused programs that are educational and experiential in an engaging and affirming environment. Each week will be filled with activities including games, sports, outside time, life skills, creative play, and interest-based skill building.

Cheraw Recreation & Leisure Services follows COVID-19 guidance and guidelines issued from the South Carolina Governor’s office, the Mayor of Cheraw, and the Town of Cheraw. At this time, face coverings should be worn at your discretion, but is subject to change. As always, the health and safety of staff and campers will be priority.
