Cheraw Participates in the Great American Cleanup

In the Fall of 2019 The Town of Cheraw received 36 trees through a grant from Palmetto Pride.  As part of that award, Cheraw will participate in the Great American Cleanup in 2020.  The Great American Cleanup is an annual day of community service aimed at helping clean up our streets.

This year, the Town will participate in the event on May 6, 2020.  Main Street Cheraw, a department in the Town, will be leading the effort.  Interested residents are asked to volunteer and help keep us the Prettiest Town in Dixie clean!

If you would like to participate, it is very easy:

1. Get together a team, or even just you!
2. Pick a street or a place in Town.
3. Contact Rob Wolfe at rwolfe@cheraw.com or 843-537-7283 and let him know what area or street your team will be taking care of and how many people will participate.
4. Supplies will be delivered to you before May 6th!
5. On May 6th, tackle your project and leave the trash bags on the side of the road.  It will be collected the next day!
