135 McIver St.
(c. 1815)
"Enfield", thought to have been built as a wedding present to his
daughter by Gen. Erasmus Powe, who also planted the row of cedars
in front of the house. It was the headquarters for Union Gen. Howard
during the Confederate War and is a typical upcountry plantation
house with shed roofed porches front and back.
